Another year gone by...
Well, 2012 has been a great year for me in terms of art. Ive had a lot more time to focus on it and I was more ambitious than ever! I completed 45 new paintings and participated in 10 different venues which made for a grand total of 20+ shows/exhibits. It was a busy year and I look forward to an even more eventful 2013!
Shows have wound up for the year but Ive got a few venues scheduled in 2013 starting with painting classes in January and a solo show in April.
For more details, visit the Events & Appearances section. I will be adding more to this section regularly as new dates are confirmed =)
This month I was busy with my last show of the year, commission projects and ofcourse the holidays so I didn’t have much time for painting...I did manage to complete a few new Iconic portraits and the first installment in my brand new “Eyedeas” series!
First up, the striking Kate Beckinsale as Selene from Underworld in Iconic Portrait #19 “Death Dealer”. This piece was quite a challenge for me, I know because I almost gave up! Thats usually a good sign tho, my best works are often those which have almost been scrapped. Hair is still quite a challenge for me so this piece posed quite a problem...I persevered tho and just kept adding layers.
The original ready to hang 8x10 painting is currently for sale in my Etsy shop. For more details or purchase information please visit the listing.
Next, my favorite vampire elder...Iconic Portrait #20 Zita Görög as Ameliea from Underworld in “Ambush”.
She is a 7x9, ready to hang and for sale in my Etsy shop!
Finally, painting number one in what I hope will be a cool new series of “Eyedeas” Eyes can only see whats there-they reveal so much more... This first installment encompasses all that is New Years, parties, cocktails and a sparkling array of festivities! I hope I remember this tomorrow... “All that Glitters”
The original ready to hang painting is available in my Etsy shop! For more details and purchase information please visit the listing.
Happy New Year to all! Wishing you the very best for a spectacular 2013!
